Merry Christmas - Part II

It must be getting close to finishing because our dumpster that has been here since almost the beginning was picked up with a super heavy load.

After several months of workers bumping into our front door sidelights and trim, Rachel had to spend an entire day just getting the door ready to be stained and finished again.  But as you will later on, the time spent was well worth it, and we have a beautiful front door.

We now have a propane tank that is already getting used keeping the home a bit warmer than the outside.

Merry Christmas - Part I

Sorry about the lack of updates to our blog.  We have had a lot of things going on and I will try to catch everyone up at the ranch.  We have both noticed how much it is starting to feel like a home we could live in.  It helps having real lights, heat, water and all the other finishing touches.  All these finishing touches unfortuneatly demand a lot of our attention, since in the end, this is what you will see.  So we have spending the last few weeks on our days off, we have been here all day long, usually longer than the sub contractors.

We left off at the beginning of tile installation.  After some headaches with our builder insisting we chose some ugly yellow grout color, we showed the tile guy the correct white color that we had written down and given to him.  But in the end, it turned out looking good.  Here are some pics:

Stay tuned for more...
